Next level Biotechnology & Pharma - Epigenetic Targets in R&D to Deliver New Medicines & Disruptive Treatment Paradigms
13:00 - 16:00 EST | 10.00-13.00 PST
Taking a candidate all the way from conception to clinic requires you to be equipped with insights that will make your research more efficient and allow you to troubleshoot challenges and difficulties with ease.
Getting drugs through the clinic is not our only process as genetic pioneers. Deepening our knowledge of genetic regulation more broadly to discover new value and potential opportunities to drug new targets should be top of every researcher’s to do list.
Join this workshop to:
- Discuss the challenges that are faced in making the preclinical assessments of a candidate
- Explore how to identify and validate new mechanisms of action
- Improve current tools and systems such as knock out models - lesion models which currently make predictions about function that aren’t always right or correct. What knock-on effect can using these models have in the clinic?
- Debate monotherapy vs. combinations - what is the best approach to take to identifying a combination partner? An experimental? Hypothesis-led?
